6 Motivational Instagram Accounts for Whatever Inspiration You Might Need

The best of Insta for a little quick motivation.

Some days, it's really hard to get some self-motivation going, so we went to our favorite source for all things creative, Instagram, and rounded up some of the best accounts out there. Whether your creative juices need a little jump start or you're having an off-day, these six accounts will inspire you to think anew.

To remind you you're not alone out there:@humansofny
This wildly popular feed (4.4 million followers!) will inspire you to do the best you can with what you have, regardless of if you live in NYC or not. The photographer, Brandon Stanton, has taken over 5,000 portraits of everyday people on the streets of NYC and has even produced two beautiful coffee table books of the most inspiring stories.

"I fell in love with the first girl I dated. Then one day she told me: 'If you were a boy, this would be perfect.'"

To Channel Your Inner Pharrell:@happsters
This is the account where you go to just get happy. Simple words of wisdom on beautiful backdrops make up the feed, perfect to help you get through whatever you're going through. They range from elegant reminders of the ways of the world to quirky, fun quotations, such as "let's wander where the wifi's weak."

Is your life in a state of flux? I'm usually working towards a certain goal or deciding the next move I should make. I've found that it's good to stop to appreciate the process and embrace the uncertainty. It's pretty fun once you really think about the place you in are right now, how far you've come and appreciate your current circumstances for what they are. After all, the point of it all is to be happy right now, not just in the future. So, take in the uncertain moments and appreciate where you are here and now. Now instead of being in a place of fear or anxiety, you're in a place of gratitude. Isn't it amazing how changing your perspective on your current situation changes the world around you even though you are in the exact same place as you were 10 seconds ago? Best Instagram Accounts to Follow: Yogi Edition

I'm DTF... down to flow that is.

Shockingly, 80 percent of college students say they have experienced stress on a daily basis. From the vibes in the library during midterms and finals season, this number seems conservative.

If you're looking for a way to combat stress, and aren't the meditation type, yoga may be the answer. It combines relaxation with exercise, knocking out two necessities on your crazy college to-do list at once.

If you're looking for some yoga workout inspiration, these are the Instagram accounts you want flooding your feed. From cool traveling yogis to professional photographers who focus on yoga practitioners, these accounts will make you want to grab your mat and get ready to OM.

DanaTrixieFlynn
This yogi is DTF (down to flow, that is). Dana Trixie Flynn is one of the co-founders of Laughing Lotus Yoga Center. Flynn has an awesome background, ranging from stockbroker to MTV personality, before becoming the yogi she is today. Her account is inspiring and features her adventures doing yoga, most recently in India, which make for some pretty badass photos.

JustFerd
I love the artistic focus of some of his posts; and his series of yoga pics where he interprets a famous work of art through a yoga posture and props. It's really creative and speaks to my inner art history geek.

BeachYogaGirl
A big part of yoga is the ability to flow from one position to the next, making this account full of videos especially cool. Kerri Verna's account is composed of videos demonstrating her moving into each position with on point music, making them especially fun to watch.

#handstandswithbyg ?Day 6 - Tip #6. I love seeing all your videos ... Keep up the good work! Today's Tip #6 is to EXTEND (as my trainer Eugene says) through the shoulders or scapula elevation. This exercise is a great way to understand if you are extending and locking the shoulder joint. 1. From day 1 (go back and watch it if you missed it) face the wall handstand. If you were able to walk up the wall - great! If not, then keep working at it. 2. Keeping the elbow locked (don't do handstand push-ups) press the shoulders up (or down rather since you are in handstand). Think about shoulders to ears - lock the shoulder then release. You want your biceps to squeeze next to the ears. 3. Do as many as you can to fatigue but, try not to involve the elbow - just the shoulder. When you are in handstand, this is the correct position of the shoulder. Video taping yourself is the best way to correct issues that might come up during training. Some of the most common issues in handstand are either 1. Lack of flexibility (day 2) or 2. Lack of shoulder engagement. If you like my handstand tips, tag a friend or repost and encourage someone to try them with you! Wearing:@omstarsapparel

Hunny of the Week 1/5: Claudia Oshry aka @girlwithnojob

Hunny /[huhn-ee] / noun: a badass bitch who's not just hot: she's funny, smart, strong, and\or ambitious.

#Blessed for this piece of ? and for @iHeartRadio having me on the @CocaCola podcast! Listen at the link in my bio

A photo posted by Claudia Oshry (@girlwithnojob) on

Insta-celebs: Some are lame AF, others are worth following, if not for the unearthed (albeit, aggregated) Reddit gems, pics of cats and pizza, or just random hilarious shit. Girlwithnojob, run by Claudia Oshry, is the latter. We love her unapologetic take on life as a 20-something, and her life goal/motto: "My dream job is not needing one." Also, anyone with 1.2 million Insta followers and who eats raw cookie dough on the reg is my hero.

Building something from nothing is pretty bad ass and Oshry is doing just that; taking what every 20-something is thinking and turning into internet gold.

She told Huff Post, "Don't let people bother you, because it's so easy to let them... You have to just keep going and persevere... eventually you will find people who care about what you're writing. All the work is worth the reward."

Below, our favorite Instas from Oshry, this week's Hunny of the Week.

Hunny /[huhn-ee] / noun: a badass bitch who's not just hot: she's funny, smart, strong, and\or ambitious.

Ah, Gigi. Our favorite body positive supermodel (an oxymoron if there ever was one), love interest of Zayn Malik (#bless), and newly-minted Victoria's Secret Angel, is walking for the very first time in the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show tonight.

Since we can't just pick one reason why we love Gigi, here are the top 10 reasons why we love this Hunny, told via Ms. Hadid's Instagram.

1. Gives back, plus can rock a high pony like nobody's business.

How to Edit a Photo... The Right Way

For fuck's sake, stop over-whitening your teeth.

Everyone denies it, but we all do it. At this point, you're losing a competitive edge by not touching up your photos before sharing them with the world. I suggest Facetune--the holy grail of editing apps--and I don't give a flying fuck if you think editing photos is stupid, fake, etc. If you're gonna do it, do it right, so here are my tips.

Don't reshape when there are straight lines or horizons behind you.
Zoom in and REFINE areas that you'd like to tuck in. Be SO careful of the borders behind you--this is the biggest giveaway. Always quadruple-check before posting. Look at this Lindsay Lohan Instagram. Don't be like her.

My feet look red lol- had to take that out. Only real red is my hair. ?

A photo posted by Lindsay Lohan (@lindsaylohan) on

DON'T OVER-WHITEN YOUR TEETH.
I cannot understand why girls are still doing this in 2016. It's not Picnik; it's not 2009; and it's definitely not ~*Myspace*~.

Do whiten your scleras, though.
Your sclera is the white of your eyeball--and you've probably never noticed this but white ones look weirdly good. Get in there, buddy. #420DontBlazeIt

?

A photo posted by King Kylie (@kyliejenner) on

Use the details feature on Facetune.
It'll make your irises pop and your lashes seem thicker. All the good stuff. Use it over your cleavage to make that stand out, too!

Leave a little shine.
A little bit of shine on your face is a GOOD thing. It actually looks good. Think of all the celebrities with intentionally dewy makeup. When you buff out all the shine with an editing app, you look fake... and straight up weird. #contour

...and so it begins! New film, new family #Valerian

A photo posted by Cara Delevingne (@caradelevingne) on

Make sure it looks like you.
At the end of the day, keep yourself in the photo. I hate my nose but when I edit it, I can't go overboard.

One last thing: real friends Facetune friends. ?
