The Ultimate Playlist for THAT Time of the Month

Much better than the one Ashton Kutcher made.

Shoutout to all my people out there struggling through that time of the month. There's nothing worse than the emotional roller coaster that is your period. One minute you're happily planning a night out, then, suddenly you decide to postpone your plans because you feel disgustingly shitty and bloated. Ew.

Next time you catch yourself on the verge of a BF (bitch fit), pause and turn on this playlist instead.

For those of you with Spotify, here are the songs you can expect to hear:

Bleeding Love, Leona Lewis
Waterfalls, TLC
White Houses, Vanessa Carlton
Summertime Sadness, Lana Del Ray
7 Things, Miley Cyrus
Sweetest Girl, Wyclef Jean
Bed Piece, Jhene Aiko Ft. Childish Gambino
Skin Tight, Niykee Heaton
T-Shirt, Shontelle
Too Good, Drake Ft. Rihanna
She's so High, Tal Bachman
Big Girls Don't Cry, Fergie
Talking Body, Tove Lo.

You'll totally recognize this song when you hear it!

Thong Song - Sisqo
How is this not already on your party playlist?! Let me see that thong!

The Ultimate Study Playlist

Hunker down, hit play, and get to work.

Since so many songs out there have lyrics, it's hard to listen to one without it automatically guiding your path of thinking when you hear the verses. However, the songs I have gathered below are solely instrumental, allowing you to create your own story to match the beat.

They're great to listen to in the car or while studying, as they let you hone into your thoughts while completely syncing with the music. It's a spiritual experience, so get listening.

Pledge Ride Playlist

Music for the drive to the frat.

Say what you want about Greek life, but the invention of the pledge ride has to be one of the most valuable things to ever happen to a college campus. As a girl, I can say that these rides are our savior from drunkenly stumbling home after a night out.

They also make getting to the parties so much easier. However, the music these drivers play isn't always great.

The pledge ride is the beginning of our night out and as much as we thank the driver for giving us a lift, sometimes the music they play can be a serious buzz kill. Lucky for you, I've put together the perfect playlist to keep the driver and the riders happy.

While most playlists have a very specific sound and theme, this one combines a lot of different vibes. We've got oldies to singing along to, rap music to hype us up, and feel good artists like Roy Woods, because who doesn't need a little bit of that in their night.

Ridin' With The Squad Playlist

For use with the homies only.

First things first, this playlist should definitely not be played when you're driving your mom to the grocery store, or if you've got your little brother/sister in the backseat.

This playlist is for exclusive use with the homies and no one else. If you wanna ride around looking hard af, then you gotta play this playlist as loud as possible with your windows down.

If you have a convertible, even better. Make sure you roll round with the top down so everyone can hear the straight fire coming out of your speakers. You may scare a grannie or two, but hey, a necessary evil.

Lil Wayne, Gucci Mane, Young Thug, DMX, Kevin Gates; you name the gangsta rapper, he/she is on here.

The Feels Playlist

Embrace the emotion.

Honestly, this playlist was completely unintentional.

I was feeling pretty mellow today, which lead to a lot of Majid Jordan and Roy Woods, two of my favorite artists. While lying there I decided I might as well be a little productive and jumped on Spotify to make a playlist and spread the love a little.

I really didn't have a clear vision for what this playlist was going to be. I just wanted to put together a list of songs that you could really get into. At first I thought maybe this was a breakup playlist or a playlist to listen to when things just weren't going right, but that's not what the songs were about.

While these songs are definitely a little more on the emotional side, they're not sad songs. These are songs to vibe out to and songs to light some candles to. These are songs for when you're in the mood to embrace all your feels.
